Alice B. Peckinpaw

Today I created Alice B. Peckinpaw.  My new hero (or heroine). She's going to star in her own new children's book.  I think chickens are so dear.  Dear but dumb, bless their hearts.  Low on the food chain, so it's natural we want to protect them.  Alice does what chickens do.  She loves scratching in the warm sunny ground in order to take a dirt bath.  She also likes a plain sunbath.  She loves finding and drinking fresh rain off of leaves in the yard.  Her absolute favorite time is when she finds a worm in the yard.  She gets along well with the other hens.  Although she's older, she's not very bossy.  Rather, she enjoys the company of the younger hens and shows them the way in a kindly manner.
